Notes: This tab is my interpretation of how Bill Keith played the tune on the "Bill Keith and Jim Collier" album. Both banjo breaks are included along with the backup for the fiddle and mandolin breaks. In other words, the tab is written such that you can follow along with the record. Adjust settings so that chords are displayed as letter names only, tab is displayed at 4 bars per line, and view is scaled to 16th notes. The first few blank measures are there to maintain the chord & bar patterns (4 bars per phrase) such that each phrase starts at the beginning of a line.

Ok, I just discovered what the "Pickup Measure" checkbox does, when checked. So, I fixed the tab such that it will print out 4 bars per line, except the 1st line, which includes an additional pickup measure. Now, the chord pattern will be easier to see when printed.

Wow, it seems you wrote down exactly the right notes on the right strings. Congratulations, and thank you for sharing. Do you know if there is a special reason why Bill Keith named this tune "Phlebitis" ? Thanks again. Patrick

I have no idea where the name came from. I’ll ask around and see what I can find out.
