Notes: My 4yo daughter has one of those electric mini pianos. I wanted to impress her a bit with my playing and also to practice some transcription skills and thus decided to arrange her favourite preset tune for banjo. It seemed perfect for some melodic banjo as it clearly seemed to be a fiddle melody. It also seemed so familiar but I didn't know the name. I asked a colleague who is a first violinist for a symphony orchestra and he thought it was a Scottish dance but didn't know the name either. Try googling a melody... Anyway, I eventually found out that the tune was called "Sailor's Hornpipe" or "The College Hornpipe" and in fact is a very popular fiddle tune. I guess I should feel stupid for not knowing...

this is a nice, simple version of sailors hornpipe. I love to play it. some of the left hand work is a little tough. Fun to play.

awesome simple version, takes out some of the melodic-style filler notes, makes it more accessible to a newer player. thanks for sharing this!
