Like Michael Turner's Waltz, good to see this one here. It took me several hours with the sheet music in front of me and a couple of midi files to get my head around Sir Sydney a couple of years ago. I play a version similar to your tab (a few extra pinches and part rolls added). Occasionally for a laugh I play a higher speed Scruggsy version; sounds great but not always recognised even by those are familiar with the tune as normally played :-) It can be made to sound like a normal bluegrass breakdown type of affair.
