Notes: Here is an excellent old fiddle tune, "Fisher's Hornpipe", arranged for melodic style banjo in the original key of F major. While not an unknown fiddle tune, it's not overly common and is one of my personal favorites. It's relatively hard, and I perpetually have trouble with the timing. There are two markedly different ways to play "Fisher's", one is at a medium tempo with a pronounced bounce, the other is at a relatively fast tempo with straight 8th notes. The former would be more of a dancing style, the latter a bluegrass style. There are two places in the tune which have a II7 (G7) chord, which may or may not be played by the guitarist. Has a Rhythm Guitar & Bass rhythm track. Have fun!
