Notes: This is one of two songs (the other is “And the Angels Sing”) that seem to transport me to a place beyond time and space. A place where the only things that exist are the melody, the love of my life and little old dysfunctional me. “Oh, how we danced on the night we were wed...” While I started with a MusicXML file that someone else wrote tweaking the melody for playing on the banjo is not point-and-click easy. I did the best I could. Hope you enjoy it. More importantly, I hope someone finds it useful enough to take to the next level. The MP3 was generated from the TAB - my playing is terrible...

Notes: When my doctor starts hinting at my having to go to the hospital I try to immerse myself in some positive uplifting activity. This past week that positive uplifting activity was an attempt at banjofying one of my favorite tunes: HaTikva ("The Hope"). Here it is. I'm not playing the banjo in the MP3 - it was generated from the MIDI file. Nothing fancy here however I'm quite fond of it. Hope you enjoy it.

Notes: When I was growing up my Mother sang her version of “Danny Boy” to me multiple times a day during my entire childhood. Londonderry Air is the nane is the name of the tune the lyrics of "Danny Boy" are set to. It's the first tune I learned to play on my banjo. I hope someone finds this tab useful. Both the MIDI and the mp3 were computer generated.

Notes: This is a wonderful traditional eastern European Jewish tune which I arranged for banjo. This is one of those tunes you can get lost in and play until the strings on your banjo wear out. I think my arrangement works rather nicely on a Open G tuned banjo. Be forewarned, however, I am one of the worst banjo players on the planet so if you just want to hear the tune I suggest playing the MIDI as I played (assuming we can call it “playing”) the MP3 on my favorite banjo. Enjoy.
