Notes: I learned Bill Keith's tab many years ago, but this is my own. The A part differs from Bill's but is closer to the original sheet music.

Girl's Breakdown

Genre: Bluegrass  Style: Bluegrass (Scruggs)   Key: G  Tuning: Standard Open G (gDGBD)  Difficulty: Intermediate
Posted by banjohn2, updated: 7/23/2016
Download: TABLEDIT

Notes: This is written by Alison Brown and you must have a pair of D-tuners installed for this - and see that they are well oiled! A lot of twisting and turning. The difficult parts are where you have to turn the tuner in advance to be prepared. This and then in the B-part where the banjo is tuned to D for some measures.

Notes: This is only the solo and ending parts. A student of mine wanted to learn this beautiful song. I think it is Stuart Duncan playing an open back banjo.

Posted by banjohn2, updated: 7/23/2016
