Notes: This version is very similar to the arrangement by Cohen and Kennison. I heard it differenly so here's my version. I think Emerson and Waldon played it capoed up in C (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xjQRzH-S_JM). Enjoy!

Notes: Pretty tune and fairly simple. You usually hear the down the neck break, so I added an up the neck one for variation.

Notes: Here's my arrangement of a neat fiddle tune mostly heard in clawhammer circles. It is on Philip Mann's web site in Tabrite and I see there is a link to it from Hangout. I've redone it in TablEdit. It was one of my first ventures into playing in C out of an open G tuning. Actually got published in BNL. Uses Munde-style technique.

Notes: A guitar player friend of mine plays Shady Grove in Dm. I had worked out a version in Em that is similar to others posted here and had started working on a high break. I had an "Ah, hah!" moment when I realized that my high break used no open strings and didn't involve the 5th string. This arrangement, while pretty simple is totally moveable up and down the neck so you can play in Am, Bm, Cm, Dm, Em, etc. It's in Tabledit and pdf. I sometimes do a hammer-on as opposed to a slide for the first measure as it bluegrasses it up a bit. If that's too hard just start on 3rd string 7 fret.

Notes: Key of C in G tuning for when the singers like that key. A short exercise in 3rds.
