The song we sing in the TV sending. - We ( my wife and I) wrote this song in 2003. - Recorded the song in 2006. - The song is about the time, where the old Tall Ships/Sail Ships sailed out the world from Denmark, with Danish produtcs, and returned 4 - 6 month later, with products from foreign countries.

I love this! You and your wife are very talented, of course, but I like the song very much. You should play this at the local tavern, I bet everyone would sing along.

Has the feel of spinning a tale of days gone by... epic journeys... and adventure... really like the end when both of you are singin'; as Rick said... I'm sure folks at the tavern/pub would all join in!!
Cheers and get those sails hoisted... and we'll make good way on a broad reach home!

Your deep voice, lovely harmony, and story-telling ballad make those days fondly familiar. However, I wouldn't have wanted to be on one of those ships and am grateful for the jets that bridge our lands.

Thanks to all of you. Glad you liked the song....even it is in Danish. (ha..ha..) We have used the songs many times in conserts. And the audience like the song. - The best experience were in 2011. There were Nordic Tallships race. 42 sailships sailed from Sweden to Hobro Denmark - and from there to Norway. When they have arrived Hobro Harbour, we played consert on the harbour, and played the song. It were fantastic...it were impressively to see 42 big old sailships, and play for the crew.
Janet: I don`t either think, i would have liked to be onboard those ships, and be on the sea for a half year or so. - Rick and Kenneth....Yes, we hoist up the sail, and sing along.
PS: Next time we gonna play on a boat, is on a houseboat i Nykoebing Mors d. 27 Juni. The boat have no engine. So don`t be afraid, that we shall sail away.

Yep Torben... those tall square-riggers are impressive and majestic. I was a sailor (25-28 foot sloops)... and sailed in Newport harbor Rhode Island... and the American tall ships came there during the America's Cup races (unfortunately Australia won that year - had a "secret winged keel"). Anyway... never forget the sight and enjoyed sailing among them.
Sailing... sans engine (almost never used mine)... is special... being one with the wind and waves. Sadly, an experience and skill few learn... and fewer master.
Good luck with your Houseboat!

I really understand you Kenneth. My brother in law have sailed onboard different tall ships. He loves to tell about it...show pictures and so on. And if he see one, on the sea, he got "Christmas candle" in his eyes. Quit clearly that it`s something special, to sail those ships. In Hobro we have a little shipyard repairing the old sailships. A very exciting place to go and look.
The houseboat is owned by two towns, Nykoebing Mors and Skive. Both towns are placed, at the water called Limfjorden. In the summertime the houseboat, being used for culturel activities. - They pull it from town to town, along the Limfjord. 14 days here, and then to the next town. A great idea I think

Better use some "string lube" on yer banjer strings... don't want 'em to rust! And yes... that's a great idea for "cultural events"... and... so is The Banjo Hangout!
Cheers friend.
