I play three finger and clawhammer. This banjo, with a scoop, limits me a bit up the neck. But, it has a spectacular tone - clear and bright, easy to play quietly or with some punch. Intonation seems perfect right up the neck.

I love this banjo. I have owned and played many very nice banjos, including a Stelling, numerous Deerings and a Bart Reiter. I would rank this banjo as the nicest of the lot hands-down
