Very aggressive bluegrass sound, loud and punctual. If you're looking for a intermediate bluegrass banjo then this the one for you

The banjo was very well set up for me when I purchased it, innotated to perfection. Maintenence is easy.

It says on their website that they gave this banjo a very 'Mastertone' look and that is very much the thruth. This banjo looks like it should sound.

This is a very well made banjo, I've never had any problems with it in the 3 years I've owned it.

I've never dealt with the company.

As far as components go, everything is solid. The bridge could be upgraded though.

Since this banjo doesn't have a resonator, the sound doesn't travel very far. The sound can be described as very loose and tinny. I'm not sure what kind of tone rink (if any) is inside the banjo.

The banjo came out of the box with the strings already set up, which was great for me because I had bought this banjo at sea and it had arrived the same way.

The company gave the head the "weathered calfskin" look and I kind of like it. The inlay is just the standard inlay you would find on any other "starter" banjo.

It loves to get out of tune.
Sonny Osborne once said "Banjos' don't like anything. You ever notice that a banjo player is the most corageous human being on the face of this Earth. Banjos' don't like people, the don't like air, wood, sound systems, microphones, NOTHIN'!"

As said above, this banjo LOVES to get out of tune. No matter how many times I've tightened the tuners or how tight I've tightened them, it still wants to be out of tune.
