Where Purchased: Janet Davis
A few months ago, I bought a Bart Veerman Dark Star bridge from Janet Davis. What a great bridge! Got to be the best bridge I've ever owned. I'm using it on an Ome right now that is unique in that it has the spun brass ring usually found in the Ome jazz style banjos. I like this banjo in that it's response readily allows me to switch from standard Scruggs style Bluegrass playing to plectrum style playing: I've played that style since I was a kid. My Ome sounded great by itself, but the Dark Star has given it yet another dimension. The bass notes really ring and the highs are sweet. This exceptional bridge is clearly a great addition to any banjo. No doubt I'll be buying a second Dark Star for another banjo very soon. (May 2017)
