I am a classical guitarist turned banjo player and know a thing or two about fine instruments. My Phantom is one of them! The tone is rich and pure - a true thing of beauty. After I picked up the Phantom at Turtle Hill nothing else compared. Not even all of the Gibson collector's items that Dave let me play - including a rare $75,000 Gibson Flathead.

Everything was perfect. Dave warned me that the action would probably need to be raised as I broke things in. Indeed he was correct, but even though I was a little nervous, I got out my Nechville tools and raised that action to just the right spot in less than 5 minutes. How cool is that?

I got the curly maple with galaxy inlay. It's a gem! I love the Phantom's overall simple beauty.

It is obvious to me that a Nechville demonstrates fine craftmanship built to last. I have no concerns whatsoever about its longevity. That said, I am good to my instruments.

I need to give recognition to Dave at Turtle Hill, one of Nechville's trusted dealers. I drove down to see him from Baltimore and he couldn't have been more hospitable. I don't think he would have minded if I stayed all day. After 2 hours, though, I knew that the Phantom was going home with me. Dave is extremely knowledgeable and generous. I would urge anyone in the Maryland area to take advantage of what he has to offer.

You can't beat heli-mount and its brilliant design and function. The tunneled 5th string is a stroke of genius as well as all of the other great things that Tom Nechville has done to make the banjo user-friendly. Can you tell that I have nothing but glowing, positive things to say!?

What more can I say? Buy a Nechville!
