I bought 8 Fred Kelly Speed Picks thinking they would wear out rather quickly but have yet to wear out the first one. Made of Delrin, they are easy to fit and really give you control over your picking. I have used a-lot of thumbpicks but by far these are the best.

Jayme offers a different approach to a wide variety of banjo playing techniques. Truely inovative and fresh with a vast amount of information. Fun for the novice but really for the more advanced player. If you have played the banjo for awhile, this is a must have. Great work Jayme!

This mute actually fits around the banjo bridge. The mute is made of metal and must be slightly bent to fit well on the bridge but when put on, it does a great job of dampening the sound of the banjo. Has the same tonal qualities just makes the sound quieter. Does not interfere with playing at all.

Very complete book. This book gives a-lot of valuable information to help expand the basics and as the title says " Beyond". Eddie does a great job in explaining how to improvise, back-up, and use different picking styles. Lots of musical theory here as well as good tablature and comes with CD's to help. Highly recommended.

I play Scruggs style and try to emulate Bela Fleck. This banjo has all the loud, rich sound of the much more expensive banjos that I have played. I put on a Kat-eyz bridge and a set of light weight strings and the banjo sounds GREAT. It has a very good sustain and sounds good all the way up and down the neck.

The set up of the banjo was flawless. I took the back off immediately to tighten the head and adjust the rods but it didn't need any adjustment at all. The action was set low and I didn't have to adjust anything.

This banjo is made of Flame Maple and the finish and the woodwork are outstanding. It has a sunburst finish and hearts and flowers inlay work. I could not find any flaws in the finish or the inlays at all.

The hardware will outlast me. It is good and heavy and the nickel plating seems to be very heavy also. I would easily play this banjo without a backup.

I have never delt with this company before but they have answered all of my questions and been very helpful. The banjo has a two year warranty but I doubt that I will ever have to use it. Dr Cluck is great to deal with also.

This banjo has a bell brass tone ring, 3 ply hard maple rim, and a one piece cast flange. I replaced the bridge just out of personal preferance and not because theirs was bad. Comes with a hardshell case also.

I would recommend this banjo for double the price, but don't tell Tyler Mountain. I have played and owned banjos such as Stelling, Gibson, Gold Tone and numerous others and this one is every-bit as good as any of them ( in my opinion). The tone and sound are fantastic and I would recommend this banjo to anyone. Very easy to play and looks Great! If this banjo was ever stolen, I would not hesitate in buying another just like it.
