It works great, it's free, and it occupies zero space in your kit - it's just an app you install on the phone you already have. Brilliant.
You can either select a note and tune to that, or "auto tune" and it will figure out what note you are closest to. I'm just beginning to train my ear so I use the manual mode if my strings need major adjustment (rarely) and the auto mode most of the time for minor tuning. The user interface is simple and easy.
