Mike's Banjo Mute is simply amazing. From the super fast shipping (I received mine three days after I ordered it), to the build quality and performance. It's solidly made, and as with many great designs, it is simple and effective. When I say simple, I mean that in the best sense of the word. It's simplicity makes it elegant, but that's not to say that it would be easy to make your own. The materials and build quality are top notch. It takes all of about 3 to 5 seconds to attach or detach, and it comes with a nice storage sack too. I've saved the best part for last... how it performs. I was literally shocked at how quiet my banjo sounded when I first put Mike's Banjo Mute on. I was in my office, with several people nearby, and they could not hear me practicing at all. My wife also approves of it, and doesn't mind me practicing with it in the same room. I have used it on both my resonator (Hatfield Special), and my open Back 11" Pot Ome Jubilee. It works great on both! Thanks Mike, you have a great product, and your service and speed of delivery can't be beat.
