This banjo sounds rich and mellow as far as my ears can tell, but being a noob to playing I could be off. It lends itself well to bluegrass.

The banjo was setup very well by the techs at BanjoHut. I haven't changed anything on it yet, but am thinking about changing out the bridge as I ordered it with a stock bridge and may add a wood armrest. Minor tuning with the clip on tuner and I was up and running.

It has a burled maple resonator with a matte finish and MOP inlay on the headstock and fretboard it looks fantastic.

It seems to me that the hardware is very nice and heavy duty. We will see how the finish wears over time.

Paul at BanjoHut was very helpful when I called after it was delivered to my door and gave me care and feeding instructions for the 'jo. The only thing that I had to do to it was find the nut for the tailpiece as it had worked loose during shipment. With the enclosed tools I was able to make the repair myself without problem. This banjo comes with a lifetime warranty.

Even though the stock bridge works very well, I am still going to replace it at some point in the future. That is the only thing that I would do besides find a nice wood armrest to match the resonator.

Right out of the box this banjo impressed me with the quality of parts and it's playability. This instrument is going to last me well past being a beginner musician. A+ BanjoHut and Mastercraft.
