Im a beginner but it sounds a million times better than the old Strad-o-Lin I was learning on. When my teacher plays it sounds like the banjo on all the banjo cd's it sounds awesome. For the money I think its as good as you can get.

Only thing I had to do was put the bridge on and tune. Action is about right it makes no buzzing sound and is easy to note.
