Really has a good sound. This is my second banjo and really was a good step up from the beginning banjo that I had.

I'm giving it an 8 simply because it is a lower end banjo. Having said that it suits where I'm at playing to a tee. Maybe later on I will invest in something more substantial if at all.

Been playing it for just over a year now & I'm really happy with the purchase. The price included a nice hard case that fits the banjo perfectly. I'm not sure that I will ever replace it unless I really hear something that sounds nicer. I know some players make some other banjos sound nicer but that simply because they are better players than I am. Really think they could make my banjo sound just as well. I'll see if my playing progresses maybe I'll get a bottom grade professional model. If you looking for a lower end banjo to start with you can't go wrong for the price. Sounds great!

I was just starting as and really didn't know how long I would play so I picked up the cheapest I could buy. After playing for about a year I started looking and listening to other banjos. Mine worked but tone did not stack up. Specifically on the Low G string A position. It really had a terrible sound. It was a good starter though for the money.

Didn't upgrade anything. Really didn't think it would be worth it. Purchased a Morgan Monroe Cascade. Has really good ratings and reasonable price. Will review that later.
