Capos: Earl's Suspender Capo

This capo is does the job at first, but the material that holds it together stretches over time. When I first bought this capo it held the string down pretty well, but some time has gone by now and it no longer holds the 5th string down enough.

This is a great book from the banjo master himself - Earl Scruggs.
I've learned so much from this book and I know that there's still a lot more I can learn from it.

There are many excellent songs like "Dooley," "Cripple Creek," "Cumberland Gap," and many more.

This banjo has a great sound for the money. I'd give it a 7.

The light maple is a little bold at first, but you get used to it.

I'm not very happy with Deering customer service. It was difficult to get them to answer my questions.

Components

This might be a rare thing, but there are cracks in the rim. After only about two years, I have to replace the rim. I'm disappointed with this rim.

Overall Comments

This is a good banjo for the money that you spend. I don't think I'd ever buy a Deering again, but that's just my opinion. If you like the Goodtime II, you would be buying a good banjo.
