I have dealth with several on line music shops BUT the one that has served me the VERY BEST is Banjo.com. I purchased my Banjo from them and was very happy with their service. A very nice beginner banjo, Clean and looks very nice.
As a beginner I have nothing to compair it to but it does what I expected it to do. Seems to be good solid construction although the hardwear is a little chincy, it does work well...
I like the feel and weight. I would reccomend it to anyone whi is just starting out if for nothing else but to learn how to play...

Originally I thought the Banjo was set up well, Being a beginner, I could not tell, While practicing along with Some DVD's I purchease I found that my Banjo was not set up properly. The 1st string was tuned to E which was why I thought that my banjo was just a cheap one and that was the eay it sounded. Well after re tuning it. It sounds jut like the rest of them. So I am changing this post. Set up was NOT good

For the money I think this banjo is very good looking... I love the finish and color. No fancy scroll work but a nice dark wood finish with nice Morgan Monroe logo on the top of the neck.

The hardware is a bit cheap but it seems to do the job. I would say that is is dependable but would not use this banjo for a gig. This banjo is strictly a beginner banjo and should be used for practice and for fun.

Banjo was not set up properly. I emialed them and told them that after playing for a while I found that the banjo was not set up properly. I never got a responce? One of the main reasons I purchased from this comany was because they advertised that the were one of the best in banjo set up

I am very happy with this Banjo. I think as a beginner and a beinner Banjo I would definately reccomend it. It gives you what you would expect out of a Banjo for a lot less. Will I eventually up-grade to a better Banjo? Well that all depandes how good I get but I would say definately... Banjo for me has become very addicting! and I am just learning! If you are thinking about learning how to play banjo and am afraid to spend a lot of money.. You can't beat the price and quality of this banjo!
