CAPT Steve here. Had some truss rods made for my walnut Galaxy Phantom. Pictures are posted on my Hangout page. Tim Davis (Goldstarman) did the work. You may have seen some of his designs if you looked at the Yellow Submarine inlays he did for Greg Rich (grich). I thought they were incredible, and then thought, "here's the guy I need to get to make me some truss rod covers for my Phantom". With all the beautiful woods and inlays in this banjo, was never too excited by the plastic cover that came with the instrument. I requested an ebony cover, and when he saw a photo of the instrument, he recommended some abalone. So, I have one that matches the peghead and lets the large star I had inlayed on it stand out, and one that blings it out when I want to go that route. The abalone is even reversible, with significantly different details in the shell! Tim's rates are reasonable, his work is impeccable, his turnaround time is quick and he knows Nechvilles. Great source for this type of specialty work. Highly recommended.
