My style of playing has evolved from driving bluegrass to a mix of bluegrass, folk, and old time. And I'm getting tired of hauling two banjo's around for different styles of music. I presented the challenge to Tom Nechville and he quickly adjusted the heli mount system to just the right sound. Now I only need one banjo to meet all my needs.
Sound Rating: 10
The sound was perfect for my style of play in 2004. My style of play has shifted, but with a few adjustments, it still sounds perfect. Suggestion: Try removing your resonator to vary the sound and finding a balance for different styles of music and better interaction with other players. The banjo does not have to be the loudest instrument in the jam.

I get lots of comments about the beauty of the instrument, especially about the burried 5th string. Once you get used to it, you never want to go back.

I've been playing my Nechville since 2004 and will never go back to a banjo with all the traditional parts and problems.

Everyone at Nechville did a great job of making me feel welcome. They even make great coffee.

Tom only uses top quality parts and leverages new technology whenever possible to make the "machines" more reliable when traveling and playing.

I am very impressed with what Tom and his team have created. A beautiful, dependable, great sounding instrument. He has the most comfortable playing neck in the industry and great customer service. Paul S. - Lakeland MN
