I guesstimated at the price. i traded a like new Martin D28 to it. What a great trade. Mine is the maple model and it is beautiful wood and craftsmanship and finish. Took it to a luthier friend of mine, and he said it was the best built banjo he had ever seen. and he builds them!! it has a super tone and YOU WILL BE HEARD. I absolutely love it and would suggest one to anyone. I have owned Gibsons, Stellings, etc. and it outperforms anything that I have ever played. These are kinda rare but worth the search.  Terry
