Just got my NEW OLD BANJO...a 1927 TB1 converted to a 5 by Don Bryant. An Arnold Clayton PYRAMID TONE RING, custom inlays by Clifford Seales and a "work of art" speed neck by Don. This banjo is just amazing. I love it and love all the meticulous craftsmanship that went into it. Just can't say enough about Don and how much I appreciate the job he did on my "banjo-of-a-lifetime." I LOVE IT!

Just got my NEW OLD BANJO...a 1927 TB1 conversion from Don Bryant. Don recommended Clifford Seales for the special abalone inlays I wanted and now I know why. Clifford did an absolutely amazing job on some unique inlays that were special to me because they are from other banjos I own. I absolutely LOVE this banjo, the peg head and inlays are eye-popping and can't thank Clifford and Don enough for this beautiful banjo that plays and sounds as great as it looks. Great job Clifford...

Tone Rings: ARNOLD CLAYTON PYRAMID TONE RING

Where Purchased: Don Bryant Pyramid Conversion

When I started my "banjo-of-a-lifetime" project, a 1927 TB1 I bought for a conversion, Don Bryant walked me through what the process would be like, and it started with an ARNOLD CLAYTON PYRAMID RING. We never talked about anything else but that ring, and now that I have the finished product I know why. This banjo is AMAZING. The tone, volume, sustain, clarity, look, feel, WOW! Can't say enough about the process that Don made so easy and for recommending a pyramid ring from Arnold. Man, that is a KILLER BANJO in every way.

Dr. Bryant, as I call him, just knows how to get the most out of a banjo. Period. I have taken my RB-250 to him when I thought it sounded great and he made it even better. And I have taken him banjos that were obviously not set-up right and he somehow manages to get right to the problem and pull the best sound out while making the banjo play better. Don't know how he does it, just glad I know him. I always love the price (usually trying to get him to let me pay him more for his work) and love seeing his pre-wars and custom necks and we even manage to get in a lil' pickin' too. Can't say enough about Don and his passion for his craft and for getting the most out of any banjo he puts his hands on. A master craftsman and a true friend to banjos and banjo-lovers everywhere. I highly recommend Don and his work.
