On 2/5/24 I placed an on-line order for a Kershner nickel plated tailpiece by Prucha. It was shipped 2/7 and arrived 2/10, all as advertised. And it was $20 cheaper than StewMac! I've ordered parts from here several times over the years and always had the same excellent experience.

Where Purchased: Gary Sosebee
I like having my banjos out of their cases making them more likely to be played. For many years I've used a Peak stand by my desk with no problems but one or two close calls with a strap caught by a shoe. After watching Gary's video of his stand and banjo being pulled by a truck, I bought one. I'm very impressed! As advertised, the banjo isn't going anywhere with this stand. And unlike the previous reviewer, I found the stand well made and finished. The padding around the banjo looks substantial so scuffs or scratches to the banjo shouldn't be a problem. It looks great! Gary sent it off the day after I ordered it and it arrived very well packed.

Where Purchased: Diamond Ti Picks
I purchased a pair of copper titanium picks from Diamond Ti. They arrived in a few days and appeared as described. They were a little more difficult to form to my fingers but doable. I usually play Yates picks, so my comparison is with them. The Ti picks produce a very different sound. It's muddier, mellower, and not as loud as the Yates. I gave the low rating for this reason. It's possible that with the right banjo and the right set of ears, these may be just the ticket. To my ear, I'll stay with the brighter. louder Yates.

Where Purchased: Elderly
I've used this stand for the last year, both at home and at jobs, and love it. The design has been very stable. I leave a banjo in it at home all the time and it hasn't come close to tipping (even with a cat in the house). This is really appreciated on stage. Also, the banjo sits in the stand, not hangs from the head. Lastly, it folds up and fits in a handy bag for trips to jobs. It has been well made and very durable. At $25 it seems a good deal.
