Price Paid: 225 ($US) (bought USED)

Sound

It has nice low tones and crisp upper register with the perfect amount of sustain.

Sound Rating: 10

Setup

It has a VERY good factory set up on it that I have been trying to maintain as closely as possible.

Setup Rating: 10

Appearance

It is Maple, has a "blonde" look to it with nice snowflake inlays. Simple, but tastefull and very easy on the eyes.

Reliability

The hardware is standard nickel plated and has been holding up very well. The finish seems to be thick enough to hold up and I would use it on a gig.

Customer Service

Wayne Rogers at Gold Tone is a very nice man. I emailed him to say I bought this banjo and really liked it. Was told even though it was used that I could still get it set up from them and they would back it 100%. Their service is outstanding!

One of the components I really like is the straightline tailpiece. It is easy to change the strings, and adjust to where you need it. It has a nice sound.
