Bright, clear and banjo-y. Not a $5000 Gibson, certainly, but better than a lot of lower priced banjos I've heard.

Needs set-up, but it is playable until I can get to the local music store.

Absolutely beautiful. The black Remo head is accented nicely by the gold-plated hardware.

All hardware seems solid and dependable. Haven't had to retune in 4 days of playing. Some items could be upgraded, of course, but for the price I am impressed.

Haven't dealt with customer service. 2 year warranty.

Tuners seem pretty solid. Head assembly appears to be pretty good quality. J-hooks are the weak link in an otherwise above average quality product. I'll be upgrading these soon.

Overall I'm very pleased with this banjo and can't see needing to upgrade to a new banjo anytime in the forseeable future. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a good instrument on a budget. If stolen I'd try to recover it. If not I'd buy another just like it.
