Flatt & Scruggs: The Complete Mercury Recordings

Submitted by granada40 on 4/29/2012

Where Purchased: Amazon

Overall Comments

This is a FANTASTIC collection! A great listen for anyone who is just getting into Flatt and Scruggs' music. This has 28 of their classics and is a true gem! This is also great for evaluating how Earl exactly executed his famous three-finger style on the banjo. I highly recommend this!

The Kossoy Sisters: Bowling Green

Submitted by granada40 on 10/24/2010

Where Purchased: I Tunes

Overall Comments

As some of you may know the Kossoy Sisters are most famous for their recording of I'll Fly Away being played in the famous movie "O Brother Where Art Thou." I always enjoyed their version, but never knew where to find it on CD. I had only heard that one song when I decided to purchase their album Bowling Green on I Tunes. After listening to this album all the way through I officialy became hooked on their music. These identical twins really know how to play old time and folk music the right way. I'm now desperately trying to find their lastest album. I guarantee you will not regret purchasing this album!

I got this book as a birthday present from my sister. I loved reading this memoir all the way through. I had some great laughs as well as a few tears. I highly recommend this book. It will really give more insight about Dr. Ralph.
