As I am a fairly new player, I find this banjo very easy to play. I made some simple markers for fret locations that seem to work very well. It has what I consider a soft but bright sound, as I play soft and slow this banjo fits that style perfectly.

Nate had lightly marked the head for the best bridge location, the violin pegs are easy to operate and seem to hold tuning well. The only thing I might change is a little wider tail piece.

This is what I consider a reproduction banjo. Very light, the grain measure is very old and the neck and head hand made and nicely built and simple style. I very much like the deep frailng scoop. The style is simple with a lovely Honduran Rosewood Fingerboard, and Cherry Neck.

I expect years of enjoyment from this banjo. Well constructed, I expect normal with normal use this instrument will last a long time.

Nate was very good to deal with, great communication, I am unaware of any warranty but I am sure that I can contact Nate with any issues that I may have.

I would recommend taking a look at Nate's Banjos if you are looking to play an old time style, Tackheads, Gourd, Open back, and Mountain Banjos at reasonable prices. I love mine and will be checking back with Nate later for a possible Open back purchase.
