Where Purchased: John Boulding
I installed this pick-up on my Gibson RB-250 this past weekend and so far I am very impressed. For the most part I play acoustic but at church I kept getting comments that people weren't hearing me so with the advice of John Boulding I went with the Schatten BJ-02 Pro and last Sunday I used it for the first time. It sounded very natural plugged up through our sound system and being able to adjust the volume on the unit itself was nice as I had to do a little tuning between songs as I capoed. I jammed last night with a few people and without the banjo plugged up I couldn't tell any difference in the sound compared to before I had installed the pick-up. I would highly recommend this pick-up for anyone in the market for one. Good quality pick-up and the price is also reasonable.

Great tone and volume. Nice and crisp with a nice pop on the high end but plenty of punch on the low end. It always has plenty of power when I want it but I can also back off and not have any trouble trying not to stand out if the situation calls for it.

It was set up perfectly when I purchased it, of course I picked it up at the store so there was no shipping involved. There are a lot of nice people working there to.

It is a beatiful instrument, the wood has a very nice grain and a great finish to it. The inlay is really nice too. It is very detailed and has a very nice design. It isn't simple looking but at the same time it isn't to flashy, it falls somewhere in the middle. Very nice looking.

I think the hardware will last longer than my lifetime and as long as it is taken care of will still look very good for years to come. I have been playing it for a while now and the only wear at all is on the armrest but I see that on all instruments. I would rather it look a little played anyways. I wouldn't be afraid for anyone to see me playing it, and so far it seems to be very reliable.

It is just a very nice classic looking design there really isn't any one thing that jumps out at me.
