Rich full sound and great playability

Janet set it up just like I wanted it, low action with no buzz. It was setup very well

Setup Rating: 10

This Banjo was a special order, it is the Sierra Maple model but was ordered with a natural finish. It is beautiful and unique in appearance

Appearance Rating: 10

Hardware is very sturdy. The arm rest shows some discoloring however it is 2 years old and was played very heavily.

Reliability Rating: 8

Customer Service

I have dealt with the company quite a bit, they are extremely focused on quality and on making sure no instrument leaves their store until is it right. Tends to make them a little slow on shipping. Thought it was the quality but I recently ordered a TKL case for my Martin D28 (74 BRW), it was in stock, no setup required and it took them a week and several phone calls to get them to ship it.

Customer Service: 6

Not particularly fond of the Deering (Presto) tail piece, other than that every thing is well made

This is an absolute great banjo and an excellent bargain at the retail price. It compares with the $3,000-$4,000 Banjos I've played with the exception of the fancy inlays and engravings. I like the simple look (Position Markers are Dots, and the head is marked simply with a Deering Logo and no inlay)

Overall Rating: 10
