Where Purchased: from Laurie Grundy
I own two Grundy banjos & have probably played a dozen more. These banjos have consistently the best low end & mid tones, punch & volume of any brand I've played.
Sound Rating: 10
Laurie Grundy personally makes sure all his banjos are set up perfectly before they leave his shop. He does take into consideration the buyer's preference in set up.

The inlay work is the finest I've seen.

I've owned my first Grundy since early 2004. No problems, it's solid as a rock!
Reliability Rating: 10
I've purchased both my banjos from Laurie himself. He takes a keen interest in the banjo after it's sale to insure the customer is happy at all times.
He has an excellent warranty repairman here in Missouri, but I haven't had to use him yet.
Customer Service: 10
The quality is as good & mostly better than any brand I've seen.
Components Rating: 10
These banjos are consistently the best I've played. Laurie Grundy builds his banjos himself & takes plenty of time making sure everything is fitted properly.
Laurie has his F34 formula tone rings, resonator flanges & tension hoops cast, machined & plated by his associates in Australia. He supervises the casting process to meet his exacting alloy specifications.
I've played Gibsons for years. I've already sold my old Granada & will probably sell my old style 3 soon.
Since I received my first Grundy in 2004 I've never played another brand on stage.
I have three students that are playing Grundys now & they all love them!
