Entry Level Bluegrass Banjo.
I soon switch to play clawhammer - this banjo can handle it too.
I removed the resonator and put a Remo Fyberskin and it sounds OK - but it will never be an true Open-back old-time banjo

Well, nice beginner banjo for the price (it came with a gigbag). Not the worst, not the best.
Best suited for a Bluegrass player, I would have bought a Deering Goodtime or a Gold-tone if I had knew I was going to play clawhammer, but I was able to learn on it.
