Clawhammer, mostly, and two finger (index or thumb) at times. Best sound in parlor with feet up, but nice on back porch, too.
Like it all way 'bout.

Flip bridge and line up with pencil marks and away we go--intonation was spot on all the way up to the pot.

Yes, just the right word, "easy" on the eyes--not bling but warm, soft and gentle shades. Usual Pisgah Star--clean inlay. Walnut wood--very fine.
No flaws of any sort.

Fine finish. Most of my gigs involve my family and friends.
Looks like the finish will easy outlast me--maybe my son and his son, too.
Reliability Rating: 10
Patrick is a fine, helpful fellow--dependable, honest, & trustworthy. Reputation is everything.

Don't think you can find a better banjo for the modest price. NOTHING cheap anywhere.

I also own a Rambler Dobson (12" pot/ standard scale). With the addition of this Appalachian walnut (11" pot/ 25 1/4 scale), I'm set for life--still, the Pisgah folks tell me that after 10 banjos, you get one free. Things like that make my wife worry and make me dream.
Looking for a good, solid instrument to play? Get a Pisgah.
