It sounds wonderful. I was incredibly impressed with it's volume. I figured the persimmon tone ring would quite it down, but it's louder than the gold tone(brass ring) and enoch (dobson) ring, at the jam I go to, The high notes pierce right through. When playing on the scoop it is completely different,-sweet and plunky.

All I had to do was install the bridge and I was ready to go. The action is medium, perfect for clawhammer. The intonation is flawless

Out of everything, this is where pisgah banjos stand out. They are a work of art. Everything is fairly minimalist but you can really see the workmanship. The subtle color change from the persimmon fret-board to the walnut neck makes for great aesthetics and the wood inlay is as classy as old-time can be. She's a beaut

Patrick was quick to respond, and eager to please. I couldn't ask for anything more

The neck is a bit wider than most banjos I've played but I got used to that very quickly

Pisgah takes a minimalist approach, but the quality of the build itself is beautiful, sturdy and the damn thing sounds great.
