set up with nylon(fishing line) strings, this banjo is very loud, a little brighter than my Little Wonder with a nice full voice...a big suprise as I was thinking of getting a wood pot...no way!

nylon set up takes awhile but it is perfect now. the action can easily be raised and lowered as needed with the nuts through the pot to the neck...so easy I would give this feature a 12 if I could

the Deering tailpiece had been removed and I was happy to see that...won't work with nylon...had a Kirshner...I replaced the 5th string spike for a bone pip...added a shubb 5th string capo...banjo came with Gotoh guitar tuners and I replaced the Gotoh knobs with some Grover rotomatic knobs...slipped right on,

best case money can buy comes with it...American Vintage...Had the Boston for a month now...I am just blown away by how great the steel pot is with fishing line strings...30# 1st string,50# second, 60# third, Aquilla all nylgut 4th, and 40# 5th...sold this banjo only because of the weight...kept the AVS case
