W alnut neck and resonator are a pleasing departure from the usual. The inlays of hearts&flowers are tastefully done; not gaudy. At 23 years of age the nickel is dulled but pleasantly so. 1980 end of run issue and the frets were not well done. They crowd and ripple the binding.

Friendly and casual service via phone. Delivered in five days. Used goods but the cheapest price on this model after much searching. The next best was $300 more.

Had them remove sliding Shubb And install spikes at 7&9. The rim is slightly egged, maybe too much coordinator rod tension. Tone ring slightly overlaps rim on the inside at two points 180 from each other. Sound is still great. Waverly tail piece is I believe a modification.

I feel lucky to have found it at an affordable price that gives what costs over 1500 nowadays from current popular brands. If stolen, I would renew my search for this undersung model which I previously owned 20 years ago and stupidly sold for a pittance. My Gold Tone OB 250+ beats it in volume and new appearence only.
