I only play 3-fingers Scruggs style. I played several banjos from different price levels and this one provided the richest sound. The resonation is beautiful. There are rich bass tones as well as good balanced high sounds. It is extremely loud and definitely holds its own in a jam session. The only knock is in certain up-the-neck notes, the sound gets a little more thin that I prefer.

Even shipping OK to AZ, the instrument stayed in tune. Action was set for a beginner which I requested. No changes were needed. I may increase the size of the bridge eventually. Don't know about changes to setup as I will have a pro do that for me. Arm rest was a little to close to the head. Needed to be raised just a bit.

Beautiful inlays on the fretboard and the headstock. Resonator has a gorgeous flame maple design. Arch Top tone ring makes for an interesting conversation piece with other players. Silver color around the wooden rim makes it a very striking appearance.

Tuning machines are great and hold their place well. One string on the tailpiece seems to not want to lay symmetrically. Will probably end of changing that. Fretboard is holding up well. Nothing has chipped. Good solid Remo head that is resisting stains and dirt so far. Bridge is a little short but appears to be solidly made. I've only had it a few months, but it appears to have some very fine craftmanship

When I called company, they promised to ship the next day after setting it up. Actually shipped about a week later by DHL. Warranty is strictly with the manufacturer. Employees are very friendly and listen to questions before responding

I would prefer a taller bridge. Tailpiece may have a problem but it does not affect the sound. It is a beauty. So far, I would not do anything else to it.

Sound is as good as some Gibson's I've played along with. Great instrument for the price. It's a looker too! If it was stolen I would be heartbroken but would rush out and get another as soon as possible. My favorite feature is the warm rich tone. Compared to other banjos in this price range, the tone is much better and it is much heavier and better to look at. I love it and am glad I waited and played just one more brand (this one) before making my decision.
