Overall Comments

I have had more than 30 banjos in my quest for the "sound". It was waiting here for me all along. The Jens Kruger tone ring is truly unique. I haven't heard that much difference in other rings, but this one will grab your attention immediately. I love this banjo more every time I pick it up.

Sound

The most balanced sounding banjo I've ever played...Great response in all positions...

The action is relatively low (1/8 in.at the 12th fret)and the only change I have made is installing a Kat Eyz 3/4 in.pegged bridge..I have the head tuned to G# (about 90 on a DrumDial)

Overall Comments

I wished the neck was thinner like the other Deering banjo's. that way my short stubby fingers could reach the frets easier

Sound

I played the Tenbrooks just after the first prototype was completed. (I'm a Deering employee) It was introduced at NAMM a few months ago. It's beyond belief. It is one of the few banjos I have ever had my hands on that delivers this level of sound and feel. It's absolutley beyond belief!

Sound Rating: 10

Setup

Set up was standard. I always resetup my banjos anyhow. I can't wait to set mine up once it has been created. If the prototype sounded this good I can't wait to set mine up to my specs.

Setup Rating: 10

Appearance

Gorgeous. And finally Deering has thrown some fancy inlays onto their banjos (Golden Era the exception). This banjo looks as great as it sounds.

Appearance Rating: 10

Reliability

Just the ptototype but it is a Deering so I won't have to worry.

Reliability Rating: 10

Customer Service

Customer Service: not rated

Components

It's all Good.

Find a store that has them and play one. Then save your checkles. Trust me on this. If you can't afford one do not pick one up as you will sell something of value to purchase one.
