Sound

Sounds incredible. Low end response, deliciohus overtones for days, amazing "pop" when finger picked.

Set up when I got it. Different from what I have been playing but perfect for this banjo.

Appearance

Dark stained maple, ebony cap on the heel and back of the pot, ebony fretboard, custom gold mother of pearl inlays that look amazing

I am expecting this to live longer than I will. It makes it's stage debut in a couple of days

Overall Comments

I'm still getting to know this new banjo, it's the first custom instrument I've ever had made. I fell in love with it the moment I picked it up and that is just getting deeper and deeper by the day. I would absolutely recommend Quail Creek to anyone and may very well have another banjo made by Quail Creek at some point in the future.
