I've never played a fretless minstrel style banjo before, so as far as I can tell, it sounds pretty good.

Banjo was all set up. All I had to do was install the bridge. Mr Gardner conveniently drew a line exactly where I needed to place the bridge, so it was quite easy.

Banjo looks great. Banjo normally comes with a beehive style headstock, I asked for something different. He changed it, no problem. All I needed to do was ask.

I guess that only time will tell.
However, what makes this banjo a bit different, is that it uses a fyberskin head instead of a calfskin head. Although it is less authentic, it is a more stable instrument in humid weather.

Don Gardner was quite a friendly person. I would order from him again, no problem.
