Very rich deep tone. I would almost describe it as sultry! I have it tuned one full octave below normal banjo tuning. It sounds incredible. The notes are clear and distinct from each other and very even through the entire range.

Very good! String spacing is a little wide compared to normal banjo! This is due to the fact that Bela's custom neck was used as a template! It has a radiused fretboard which is a little different but not worrisome.
I am not using the standard Bella string gauges of .018 .022 .030 .040 .018 wound.
I am using gold tone cello banjo strings .024 .030 .034 .044 .024 nylon wound
I am getting gold tone to cut me a nut and bridge for the larger gauge strings!

Hardware seems good the tailpiece (terminator) is very robust! Tuners are good and the frets are dressed nicely, no ends hanging over etc. seems like the hardware will last a good long while, forever I don't know?

So far with my questions I have been answered very quickly and they were very eager to help! No problems with the banjo just basic questions.

The inlay on the neck is spectacular!
The woods are of nice grain and finished nicely!
The Pot seems a little light and less robust than the rest of the instrument, but not enough to warrant any concern on my part!

All in all a very nice very playable banjo that looks and sounds great. It provides another dimension when playing it. I love it
