Sound

I almost couldn't believe all the good reviews; a banjo for under 200 bucks that sounds great?
But it's true. This thing has the best sound. It's not anywhere as loud as my Bart Reiter, but that's why I got it. My wife keeps remarking, unprovoked, that she loves the sound.
it's the perfect couch/porch/travel banjo.
It's one of those instruments that you just want to play. I own a few instruments, and I haven't picked up my Bart Reiter in the week+ since I got this little beauty.

Setup

Set up was perfect. I was ready to take it to 'my guy', but it did not need it.

Sooooo simple. That's the root of it's beauty. It really looks great.

Reliability

Don't know enough; haven't had it long enough. It's going on some car trips with me this summer. I've already banged it around pretty good at my house, and it shows no sign of being affected by it.

Customer Service

the guy who makes these, David, couldn't be better. We had a tiny snafu with what I ordered, and he not only took care of it immediately, but he made it better. I'm as impressed with him as I am with his banjo.

Overall Comments

I'm going to get his travel version of the same banjo, and I'd like to get the UN-assembled kit, just to see if I could do it. I'm telling all of my musician friends about this thing. It's amazing.
