Perfect set up right out of the box

A total one off instrument. The rock maple rim was coated with several layers of bronze and then some specialist finishing techniques (learnt from Scott Walker) applied. It has the effect off making the instument look like it was re-claimed from the sea. A sort of Tiffany lamp patina that is totally stunning. The neck and finger board are of amazing bird's eye maple. No inlays on this one, but the under-stated aesthetic really works.

Everything about this instrument is rock solid.

Jason is fantastic to deal with. Every Romero comes with a lifetime guarantee for the original owner. I have no expectations of ever having to call on it though...

Jason and Pharis are currently making some of the best banjos on the planet. The wait list is very significant, close to four years. I was extremely fortunate in that this banjo came up outside of the wait list and my name came out of the hat in the ensuing raffle for it. It is a totally unique instrument - check out banjo #14335 on the Romero web site for details. I am very very happy with this instrument which is getting a whole lot of my attention on a daily basis.
