My first ride. Wish I still had it.

Hi Donald-
One of MY early rides, too. But I was only 6, and my Dad's red MG TC was a 1948(?) -- with the big wire wheels, and knock-off hubs.
It was right-hand drive, had a Judson super-charger, and these great little side-mounted semaphore blades, for directional signals. He rallied it at Watkins Glen a couple times.
I LOVED that car! But we were a growing family, and Dad had to sell it, while our new house was being built -- to pay for the sewer connection to the street. I was about 10. Such is the fickle fate of a sports car....
PS.. Hate to tell you this... But...
In your website picture aboard "The Spirit of Massachusetts" -- you could have passed for my twin. (Back in my early-40s -- before my reddish beard turned gray.)
I even sent the URL of it to my wife! ;-)

I had to part with the TD when our kids were born - couldn't afford two cars. I still love 'em anyways.

Oh, baby! I owned a '53 TD back in '59; black with red interior. I used to drop the windscreen flat, wear goggles and tool around the city. I still think that the TC is the classiest car ever to grace the roads!
