Originally, I had planned for this banjo to have a double Boucher-style, so the shape would be the opposite of the lyre-shaped pegheads, to accommodate eight wooden friction tuners. After thinking about it, I decided it would be a bit easier to go with a slotted head with heated guitar tuners. The double ogee pattern was a bit of improv.
