Sam is a good buddy. He was a housemate of one of my sons in Peterborough.

I saw S&L a few times. The first was as they got off the Wolfe Island ferry and we chatted briefly. Then I saw them setting up and busking at the Market Square antique market, where I bought a CD. I saw them and photographed them a couple of times, also attended a workshop by Teilhard at the Ottawa Folklore Centre where they both tried my Orpheum. I have all (I think) of their CDs, including Sam's "Ode to the Banjo". He's a joy to photograph - he's so expressive.
