Mad Jack Gallows |
Had to get a couple shots of this after a day of busking using my old ResoTone. While trying to play louder, I realized I would down pick with my index as normal, then on the "brush" I would hammer my index AND middle at a downward angle toward the head, almost "through" the strings, which gave me more volume but resulted in the cuticle area/base of my nails getting cut up a bit from being hammered onto the other strings. No longer PLAY this way but still find myself using the technique here and there to produce a loud, short note on the "bum DITT y", usually when playing fast.
