The guitar neck in the foreground was Joe Stuart. I remember thinking then that Monroe was pretty old, but he still had lots left in him. I was able to see him a lot.....probably 30 times in all and most of the time back stage warming up, visiting and just being a great southern gentleman. He was the best at dealing with the public. He truly enjoyed visiting with his fans.
