Wow! I saw Flatt & Scruggs and the Revue several times but never got the nerve to approach Earl. Which I really regret now. Great photo!

Hey Nick, I was too ignorant to be shy back then. One time, I think when he and Lester were in Springdale, I went backstage to see Earl. He asked if I wanted to play his banjo, so I did.....just sharing a bench with Mr. Scruggs while I played his banjo, not the slightest bit nervous.....just ignorantly having a blast at Earl's expense.
